Who are we and what do we do?

Rider of the Week

BikingRoseville was founded to support the cycling community
in and around the city of Roseville, California. Our goals are:

  • Integrated accommodation of cyclists on all roadways

  • Cyclists skilled in the safe and effective use all bicycle facilities

  • Promotion of cycling as an effective means of transportation and great form of recreation

  • An open forum for discussions about cycling in and around Roseville

Competitive cycling enthusiasts may recognize the gent on the left who was interviewed by BikingRoseville's founder Bjorn Haake during the 2007 Amgen Tour of California. He won the Tour de France this year. Check out Bjorn's 2007 interview with Carlos Sastre.

How to Ride With Confidence

Check out the premier family cycling safety event:
  • Roseville Bikefest on Saturday, October 4 from 9-12. Kids love this annual bike safety event.
  • Volunteer to join BikingRoseville members at Bikefest. Volunteers are needed from 7:30 - 1:00. Help get kids and their families started out right. We'll provide the training, a t-shirt, snacks and a gift for helping out. Send us an email and we'll set you up to help.

- Feeling intimidated by traffic in Roseville?
- Ever had a door from a parked car open right when you approach?
- Motorists passing too close?

We offer road cycling classes based on the League of American Bicyclists Bike Ed program. Check out our class schedule. You can also download our brochure or our class flier. To find out even more, email us.

Did you know that you can legally leave the bike lane under many circumstances? Some bike lanes are treacherous if you are trying to go straight (such as Pls. Grove and 65, eastbound. If you follow the bike lane you end up on Hwy. 65...)

This is how such a construct would look if implemented for cars.
