Is this your first visit to the US?

Yes.

How do you the difference riding in traffic to Germany?

Something that is very apparent is that the cars are much bigger here…But otherwise it’s pretty similar to riding in Europe. Most car drivers are very curteous, with a few exceptions.

What do you think is more dangerous: Riding in heavy traffic or a sprint at 60 oder 70 km/h?

Riding in traffic. When sprinting everyone is highly focused and nobody wants to get hurt. When people drive they sometimes just space out and just drive.

How was it riding over Golden Gate with the many tourist cyclists?

One can realize when people can’t handle their bike too well. But we took it easy and it wasn’t too bad.

Have you already picked some stages that you’d like to do well in?

If there is a sprint I have to try my hardest, of course. But I haven’t specifically looked at a certain stage.

Do you have someone who is preparing the sprint for you or are you on your own?

Oh, we definitewly have some fast people in the team, but how it looks in the finale, we’ll talk about that specifically later.

Good luck for the Tour!
