Who are we and what do we do?

Rider of the Week

BikingRoseville was founded to support the cycling community in and around the city of Roseville, California. Our goals are:

  • Integrated accommodation of cyclists on all roadways

  • Cyclists skilled in the safe and effective use all bicycle facilities

  • Promotion of cycling as an effective means of transportation and great form of recreation

  • An open forum for discussions about cycling in and around Roseville

Fabian Cancellara came to Sactown and showed the thousands of cycling fans how time trials are done. Cancellara won the 2009 Amgen Tour of California prologue, pounding his way around 2.4 miles of downtown/midtown roads in 4 minutes, 32.90 seconds.

Ride With Confidence

Imagine hopping on your bike at Royer Park. You take a trail heading south, wind through neighborhoods, under the railyard, under I-80, along creeks and pop out at Beals Point and the American River Bike Trail.

Sound preposterous? It's not. The City of Roseville is beginning the planning phase of a major section of such a trail called the Dry Creek Greenway.

To make this trail a success, we need your input. Send us a note and we'll include you in the process.

- Feeling intimidated by traffic in Roseville?
- Ever had a door from a parked car open right when you approach?
- Motorists passing too close?

We offer road cycling classes based on the League of American Bicyclists Bike Ed program. Check out our class schedule. You can also download our brochure or our class flier. To find out even more, email us.

Did you know that you can legally leave the bike lane under many circumstances? Staying in the bike lanes can be treacherous if you are trying to go straight.
